Scandinavian Food + Jazz

Samuel Castro for "When in Events"
May 12, 2011

Feeling a little Scandinavian?  So is the rest of Bangkok--with Thor doing well in theaters and the city's first Ikea on its way, we'll happily enjoy a Viking feast in celebration. Okay, stereotypes aside--The Rain Tree Café at Plaza Athénée Bangkok, A Royal Méridien Hotel is having a Scandinavian Food and Jazz promotion from May 13 – 22nd.

There will be a buffet style of cold and warm dishes like Scandinavian breads, cheeses, cold cuts, salmon, herring, and meatballs, all cooked by Björn Ekstrand, Chef de Cuisine of Indigo Restaurant & Bar.  Scandinavian actor and vocalist Annica Risberg and the Stockholm "City-Jazz" Quartet will also be there to kick the event up a notch.
