Terminal 21 Opens

Angie Thien for "Why in News"
November 07, 2011

A theme mall for Bangkok?  But of course!  Terminal 21 is extremely convenient with it’s location right at Asoke BTS Station (exit 1) and Sukhumvit MRT (exit 3.)  Each of the mall’s sections are tailored to a different world location, with themes that include Rome, Paris, Tokyo, London, Istanbul, San Francisco and Hollywood.  What can you expect?  Here’s the breakdown…

Lower Ground Floor: The Caribbean
Includes the Gourmet Market in a Caribbean theme.  Other services such as banking, book stores, restaurants, and convenience shops.

Ground Floor: Rome and Paris
International high-street brand names are showcased next to marble statues and famous paintings in the Rome and Paris sections.  You can find Roxy, Levi’s, Jaspal, Espada and more.  Also on this floor are Thai designer brands like Patinya, Troika, Rafiki and more.

1st Floor: Tokyo
All Nippon, all the way—the first floor holds ladies boutiques with shoes, bags, and other accessories.  We totally recommend trying out their bathrooms with imported Japanese bidets.

2nd Floor: London
Men’s wear takes the stage on the London inspired second floor.  Decorations include red phone booths, double decker buses, and of course plenty of Union Jack flags.

3rd Floor: Istanbul
Bridging east and west is Istanbul, and on the 3rd floor fo Terminal 21, this is where you’ll find accessories, jewelry, gifts, and décor.

4th and 5th Floor: San Francisco
These two floors hold Terminal 21’s massive food section, with over 50 restaurants and cafes.  Enjoy China Town, catch the indoor Golden Gate Bridge, or head to Pier 21, the multi-restaurant food court.

6th Floor: Hollywood
Last but not least, the 6th floor SF Cinema City and Fitness Center is inspired by--what else?--Hollywood.  You can also find some IT products and a full service premium spa.
